Build a simple beat
Keep both index fingers visible above the six-piece kit: hi-hat, snare, three toms, and crash. Point a fingertip toward a drum or cymbal, tap down into its target, and lift before the next hit. Faster downward movement produces a stronger hit. You can use both hands together for a snare and cymbal accent.
Start slowly with four even hi-hat taps. Keep that pulse with one hand, then add the snare on counts two and four with the other. Leave a clear lift between taps; resting a finger over a pad does not keep striking it. Try a short tom fill only after the backbeat feels steady.
Camera setup and recording
A desktop or laptop webcam gives your hands room to move. Light them from the front and avoid crossing them. If hits go missing, slow down and aim nearer the target center. Use Record to capture the camera canvas and drum sound, then download the performance locally. You do not need a login, drumsticks, MIDI hardware, or a software installation.
